The year we leave behind!
A lot happened in 2023, from shifting geopolitical powers to productive actions concerning climate change. The world saw significant moments in culture and events that called for unity, providing a much-needed distraction from regional conflicts and inflation rates skyrocketing globally. And throug it all, you’ve stuck by our side and we thank you for being a part of this journey.
We have been at the forefront of emerging economies, and this year was no different. From the Southeastern nation of Indonesia, which hosts one of the fastest-growing GDPs in the world, to the wild scenery of Zambia that is one of Africa’s largest economies, we’ve remained one step ahead to foresee how the world will change not just in 2024, but for many years to come.
Aside from the allure of the picturesque beaches of Bali and the sheer raw wonder of Jakarta, Indonesia is a proud G20 member nation. We worked with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and the organizers of the ASEAN summit. They welcomed world leaders who gathered in Jakarta to promote regional stability, accelerate economic growth, cultural development, and sustainable agendas.
Moving West, we captured the essence of Africa’s rising economies and cultures, complimented by a rising middle class. From an interview with the Minister of Tourism, Rodney Sikumba, and special projects with Zambian-focused SAVENDA CEO and Founder Clever Mpoha, we dug deep into the region’s critical economic ecosystems that’ll sustain them for generations to come. After Egypt hosted COP27, Kenya welcomed the inaugural Africa Climate Summit. The mineral-rich continent hosts 30 to 40 percent of the world’s mineral deposits and has seen heavy investments in renewable energy, green industrialization, biodiversity conservation, and eco-friendly agriculture to accommodate SDGs and global decarbonization while enjoying the benefits from the economic advantages.
This past year was one of the hottest in recorded history due to climate change. World leaders have begun seriously addressing this issue and are beginning to experience the benefits for their respective countries, greatly improving stability and economic conditions. The trend of sustainability and uniting for cooperation to avoid further conflicts will likely continue and gain strength in the new year.
