Athens carries democracy’s history. Last week at the Athens Democracy Forum, we had the pleasure of hearing people from around the world consider democracy’s future, from what it delivers for citizens to how AI is changing public debate.
We were especially proud to hear Nigerian voices contributing to these conversations, in a week that also marked Nigeria’s 66 years of independence.
With our heart in both Lagos and Athens, we left the forum with pride in the African expertise we heard, inspiration from the people we met, and renewed purpose in helping these ideas reach further through our work.
Thank you Athens Democracy Forum and Democracy Culture Foundation for the generous welcome and the conversations that will stay with us.
