As we shift back towards normality post-COVID, cities around the world have shown remarkable improvements in liveability. The EIU’s global liveability rankings for 2023 showcase positive changes in cities worldwide.

With Covid restrictions easing, the average index score has reached its highest level in 15 years, reflecting improved liveability. Vienna reigns as the most liveable city, offering stability, excellent infrastructure, education, healthcare, and vibrant culture. Copenhagen holds strong in second place, while Melbourne and Sydney have climbed up the ranks.
